Quickest, easiest oil change ever. I did it from start to finish in 20 minutes even after realizing I gave my socket set to my mom last summer. I had to use an IKEA adjustable wrench to pull the drain plug.
Looks like I’ll need a serpentine belt sooner than later.
I turned on my Pandora radio and the first song was “the decline.” And I was pouring the last quart in when the commercial break ended.
Now it’s time for a beer before I clean the rest of the house.

Always nice when they’re simple to do. My old 88 S10 was like that. Had the Baja package so it sat a little higher, so I didn’t need to even use a jack. And there was an oil cooler on it so the filter was right on the driver’s side, under the hood. I wish every oil change was that easy.

I’ll have the “no tool” oil change on the Tacoma when I do it next. I installed a Fumoto valve when I did my last change. No tools, but apparently it takes a little longer for the oil to fully drain.

I love the fumoto valve, but if I don’t let the oil get hot it will take 5 minutes to drain 4.5 quarts.
